How Can We Help? (Sustainable Cities and Communities)

With just about half of our population dwelling in urban areas, it is imperative that our cities can sustain the increasing population, as well as other issues (social, economic, among others). Many decisions concerning our cities have to do with our government, but there are steps that we can all take to make a worthwhile impact.  As someone who lives in a city, I think it can be easy to forget how much you influence your surroundings. Every person who votes, or burns a gallon of gas while driving, is changing our world in some way or another. After my research, I realized that it is not impossible to implement new habits that are better for our planet and our cities.
